1. Velthezok Skawlra (Hunter's League)
The other day Faeran and I were lost as usual and of course it was Fae's fault (I swear I saw him reading his map up-side-down at least once). That knucklehead could get lost in a one room hut. Out of the blue we ran into a fellow who wanted us to hunt down some giant birdman. Just before I could tell the man that we were trying to find our way back to Khal to meet Manzanillo, Faeran agrees to this bounty and runs off.
I had to chase him all the way down a (very long) beach and through a tunnel full of ferocious fairies (which I had to fight off, single handily might I add, while he bard speeded right by them) before I caught up to him. At this point I was about to drag that bloody Halfling back to Khal but the sight coming out of the tunnel was breathtaking. What looked back at us was a huge hollowed out mountain. It looked like a god took a spoon and carved the void right out of it. In this cavernous space our target's tribe had built a complex series of platforms in the sky with bridges connecting them all.
Shocking me out of my wonder I heard a doorknob Halfling who I will not mention, FAERAN, yell "COOL!" and run for the ramp up. Next thing I knew we're fighting for our lives, twenty, no fifty, no a hundred, no thousands of vulturemen are attacking us. Through all the feathers in the air all I see is a woolhead dancing around making antlers at the birds and sticking out his tongue. After I finish off the attackers we made our way up to the top. We found ourselves face to face with the giant leader. After a battle for the ages and what could count as a lifetime of taunting from a shorter than short Halfling we finish him off and return for our reward. We ended up getting some shiny new weapons for our troubles so at least getting lost wasn't a total waste of time. Who knows what crazy adventure we'll find ourselves stumble into next.
